Child Protection Requirements

All adults 18 and older who are not enrolled in High School are child protection certified through St. Michael High School. This certification will include fingerprinting. Fingerprints must be on file at St. Michael.  

• Please complete this form if you are an adult 18+ attending the trip. 

*ADULT refers to any participant who is 18 years or older and who is not a high school student.

 POLICY: All adults attending the St. Michael Youth March for Life Pilgrimage must be cleared through St. Michael High School. This process includes completing the volunteer application, code of ethics, safe and vulnerable population certification, and background check -including fingerprinting (following the necessary steps with St. Michael.).

BY NOVEMBER 8: The names and necessary information for all adults attending must be submitted to SMHS using form tinyurl.com/adultsM4L (this can also be found on website and in HUB).

St. Michael will check the status of each adult. Our child protection coordinator, Mary Whisnant (SMHS Assistant Principal), will make each individual aware of his or her status and send the necessary steps/links.

1.      Individuals with Child Protection Status COMPLETE should have the following on file at SMHS:

1.      Transfer form if St. Michael is not primary site;

2.      Turn in signature page for Code of Ethics; AND

3.      Copy of valid driver’s license.

2.      Individuals with Child Protection Status INCOMPLETE should complete these steps through SMHS:

1.      Volunteer Application;

2.      Signed Code of Ethics;

3.      Serving Vulnerable Populations Certificate; AND

4.      Copy of valid driver’s license

3.      Individuals with Fingerprinting NOT ON FILE should:

1.      Complete fingerprinting through Identigo using link sent from M4L office. Do not make an appointment except through this specific link!

2.      Non-parish individuals should submit the original receipt and an address for reimbursement.

3.      Parish/Group individuals should submit the original receipt to his or her group leader for reimbursement.

ALL NECESSARY FORMS AND FINGERPRINTS MUST BE COMPLETED BY DECEMBER 8
